Perhaps one of the greatest examples of God's artistic ability is genetics...and nowhere will you find a more perfect example of genetics in action than Tim Stout Jr. Although he now occupies the position of bass player in GCB, things started out much differently.
Following in his father's footsteps, Tim Jr. became a drummer dedicated to his craft. His life revolved around his love of music and drums. It was no surprise that Tim Jr. became involved in the nightclub scene, playing anywhere and everywhere...after all, it was in his genetic makeup.While his life ran full speed ahead, filled with all the trappings of being a musician, there was an emptiness. No amount of playing or partying could fill it. And yet, he continued to run...
For years, Tim Jr. watched his father waving good-bye as he left to play gig after gig. It had been his life. However, things were turning around in ways young Mr. Stout could have never imagined. Tim Sr. was changing course and moving in a new direction. This new direction was a life in Christ. Though Tim Jr. continued to pursue his dreams, he watched from a distance as the lives of his family were being transformed. There was a new sense of purpose driving his father. That sense of purpose was the seed from whence God's Country Band sprang.
With Tim Sr. staking claim as drummer, Tim Jr. took up the bass guitar as his instrument. It would be a profound decision that gave GCB its wings. Once the group started rolling, Tim Jr. began singing background vocals in addition to playing bass. Additionally, Tim Jr. is a contributing songwriter for the group.
Tim provides a solid bass line by using both 4 and 5 string Fernandez bass guitars. His strings of choice are Fender. As far as amplifiers go, Tim proudly plays through a Kustom amp.
Tim Stout Jr. is unshakable in his dedication to GCB. He is now a driving force inside the group. After all, it's in his genetics...
